About the Journal
The Research Competence is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to providing teenagers with opportunities to strengthen their research skills and support their academic development. The journal is inclusive, welcoming submissions from all disciplines, regardless of project scope or the student’s level of skills and experience. In addition to publishing, the journal seeks to build an academic community through collaboration and networking, while also educating young researchers on the publication process.
The Research Competence is a biannual journal, published twice a year in July and December. Each issue receives up to 30 submissions, of which up to 15 papers are selected for publication, resulting in approximately 60 submissions and 30 published articles annually. Submissions are accepted and reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
There are no Open Access Article Processing Charges (OA APC).
We are now accepting submissions for Volume 01, Issue 01, to be published in December, 2025. The submission deadline is November 1, 2025.
