About the Journal
Aims & Scope
The Research Competence is a peer-reviewed, open-access, and multidisciplinary journal dedicated to fostering the next generation of researchers. We provide a unique platform for middle and high school students to publish their scholarly work, thereby supporting their academic growth and the development of essential research skills.
The Research Competence maintains a broad and inclusive scope, welcoming submissions from all academic disciplines and encouraging teenagers to engage in research regardless of project size or prior experience.
Beyond publication, the Research Competence seeks to cultivate a vibrant academic community through collaboration, networking, and practical education on the research and publication process.
* As a teen-focused journal, Research Competence may decline submissions that are politically, religiously, or socially sensitive, or that could trigger public controversy, hate, or discrimination toward any group.
